Kim is am a seasoned therapist specializing in trauma, LGBTQ-related concerns, and women’s issues. She helps youth and adults overcome fears and barriers to leading fulfilling lives, building strong relationships, and accomplishing their goals. She has worked as a therapist with young adults in college counseling centers for many years, and is grateful to be broadening her practice to older adults as well.  Her background includes work with domestic and sexual violence survivors as well as trauma of other kinds. She enjoys helping people reconnect with their identities and strengths again.  Kim is eager to connect with people to overcome the barriers in their lives, and help each person identify and pursue the life they really want.  Kim says “Let’s work to eliminate the old fears, ideas, and stories that hold us back and build new coping strategies and stronger relationships.”

She has completed initial training in EMDR and am pursuing more ways to integrate experiential and expressive therapies into her and your work together.

Kim is bilingual (English/Spanish) and is accepting new clients in the Lake in the Hills and Schaumburg locations.
