Coping skills are techniques to manage stressful situations. These skills can be useful in processing emotions and to decrease stress. There are many different types of coping skills and not all coping skills are healthy.

Coping skills are dependent on the individual, meaning that certain coping skills are more effective for each individual person. Some examples of coping skills are meditating, journaling, and exercise. Music can also be an effective coping skill.

Coping skills are unique to each person and helpful in decreasing stress. Coping skills are useful tools to regulate your emotions when they are overwhelming. By using coping skills you can decrease the stress in your life.
