Being Mindful with Addictions Support Group

An Ongoing Support Group for Adults ages 18 and up

When: Saturday Afternoon, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Where: 1118 E. Main, 2A, St. Charles, IL. 60174

This is an ongoing psycho-educational group designed to increase coping skills for stress, anger, resentments, and grief that will calm triggers related to additions. This group is for adults 18 and up.

 

This group will:

 

• Teach individuals about mindfulness and how it relates to thoughts, emotions, and behaviors linked to addictions and addictive behaviors.

• Promote mindfulness when coping with stress, anger, and grief.

• Integrates concepts from both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in order to utilize aspects of mindfulness, radical acceptance, emotional regulation, and metaphors into group sessions.

• Help individuals gain more self-awareness and build further resilience while struggling with issues related to addictive behaviors and recovery.
