Kristen Carr, LSW

Do you struggle with managing your day to day anxiety? Are you limiting your opportunities and relationships as a way to manage your symptoms? Are you a parent of a teen/young adult that is frustrated or confused with how to help your child with their mental health or problems at school?

With over ten years working in behavioral health, Kristen specializes in working with clients who exhibit signs/symptoms of anxiety, depression, and managing ADHD through targeting executive functioning skills. She has worked with children, teens, and young adults to help build confidence in developing peer relations and adding more tools for their coping toolbox. Additionally, through years coaching high school volleyball and other various sports, Kristen can help high school and college athletes manage the “mental” aspect of the game by providing a sounding board to process the strong emotions that come with the high-stakes, performance-based athletics in the area.

Kristen holds a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) certificate from the State of Illinois and is working towards her clinical license. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) and utilizes a combination of Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage their mental health.
