Elizabeth Cermak is a Certified Professional Life Coach (CPC) and a Certified Spiritual Coach (CSC) through the World Coach Institute. Elizabeth helps her life coaching clients to move forward and realize their life goals. She helps her clients develop their own spiritual connection in order to align themselves with their true life’s purpose. She specializes in positive mindset and spiritual life coaching. Elizabeth helps her clients move from thoughts of lack and fear to abundance and bliss. Craig Janowiak, LPC, NCC

Craig’s experience includes working with youth and young adults and their families. As a multifaceted counselor, Craig utilizes his understanding of an array of therapeutic techniques and strategies to help improve the quality of life for all of his clients. Jon Difatta, M.A. Psy., LPC, CDVP, PAIP

Jon’s area of focus is interpersonal skill building and relationship counseling. Jon works with adolescents, families, individuals and couples experiencing difficulties in their relationships and/or personal lives. Jon is a Certified Domestic Violence Professional and Partner Abuse Intervention Professional and works with court ordered clientele as well. Jon’s multi-modality model including CBT, DBT and Person-Centered Therapy is a safe, non-threatening counseling approach. Jon’s experience as a Therapist in a clinical setting, a group home setting, experience working in a women’s shelter, one on one counseling, and group counseling can also meet the therapeutic needs of clients seeking services. Jon also presents adolescent issues in school environments such as bullying, sexual harassment/assault and dating safety. Working with these populations has given him the insight and skills necessary to counsel and meet the client’s needs whether it be a traumatic experience, infidelity or communication breakdowns in a relationship or interpersonal skills issues. Michelle Wernberg, MA, LPC

Michelle’s area of focus is anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, eating disorder issues, and self-esteem issues for adolescents and adults. She utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Approach while integrating mindfulness, body awareness, distress tolerance skills, and relaxation techniques. Camille Williams, M.A., LCPC

Camille focuses on guiding and empowering clients to make positive change in their life through the use of existential therapy and DBT. Angie Fitch, M.A. LCPC, NCC

Maureen Chambers, LPC

Maureen provides individual, couples, and family therapy to adults and adolescents. Her areas of focus include working through trauma and family issues, in improving self-esteem, and in building healthy relationships. She has a passion for supporting women during pregnancy and as they become new mothers. Dani Avallone, LCPC

Dani Avallone specializes in working with teens, individuals and families in crisis.  She is trained in Multi Systemic Family Therapy and has vast experience working with the Juvenile and Adult Court Systems.  She helps clients who struggle with substance abuse, depression, and mood disorders by assisting them in replacing destructive coping strategies with healthy coping techniques.  She uses an honest, interactive, and eclectic approach and tailors the therapy to the individual client’s needs.  She provides her clients with psychoeducation on mental health, emotional dysregulation and provides them with the tools and guidance needed to experience success in their lives.  Dani is currently accepting clients in St. Charles, Warrenville, Schaumburg and Lake in the Hills. Clint Zavakos, LCPC

Clint brings 10 years experience in the behavioral health field. He specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression and men’s issues. Clint utilizes an eclectic approach that incorporates Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral techniques. Jessica Caccavallo, MSW, LSW

Jessica provides individual, couples, group, and family therapy to children, teens, and adults.
Her experience in community advocacy, crisis intervention, and giving presentations from Pre-K age to college has allowed her to quickly adapt to any immediate needs that a client may have in that moment. Jessica has a passion for aiding all clients in the development of safe boundaries, healthy relationships, psychoeducation on sexual violence, dating violence, and helping those whom have been a/effected by violence (sexual, physical, bullying, verbal/emotional). She also enjoys working with parents/co-parents on developing successful parenting strategies. Jessica is unique in that she prefers working with conduct disordered children & adolescents. She strives to provide you with a comfortable and safe environment in which you feel open to sharing anything. Jessica uses a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to the client’s individualized treatment goals incorporating CBT, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness Based Interventions. Heather Cobb, MS, NCC, LPC

Heather specializes in working with couples, families and individuals to assist them in reaching their goals and full potential. She also specializes in working with any individual or family during times of transition or crises, such as loss of a loved one or divorce.
Warm and empathetic, she focuses on empowering her clients with different strategies and tools to help them grow through difficult situations. In addition, she has experience and enjoys working with children and adolescents with special needs, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is currently accepting new clients at the Lake In the Hills office. Jen Ahrens, LPC

Jennifer Ahrens (Jen) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor.  Jen holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University.  Jen’s counseling philosophies are based in person-centered and reality theories.  Jen uses a variety of techniques such as solution focused brief therapy and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.  Each technique is fitted for the individual needs of the client.

Jen is a retired police officer with 30 years of experience in the field.  Jen’s primary area of clinical focus is to provide counseling, support and therapy for 1st Responders (LE, FF/EMS and related fields) related to concerns including critical incident stress that may be acute or post-traumatic stress which can lead to cumulative stress or “burn out.”  She also provides support in the area of health and wellness maintenance and developing the psychological resiliency necessary in these stressful lines of work.

Additionally, Jen has been an active member of the Northern Illinois Critical Incident Stress Management Team for over 10 years helping hundreds of 1st Responders deal with critical incident crises.  Jen also offers counseling for the spouses/significant other and families of 1st responders and currently co-leads a Law Enforcement Spousal/Significant Other support group.

Jen has worked with the youth in her community as a mentor for the Law Enforcement Explorer Post making her uniquely qualified to address issues and concerns of teenagers whose parent or parents are 1st responders.

Alan Tsang, Clinical Intern

Alan’s focus includes depression, anxiety, grief, and communication issues in adults. He utilizes a person-centered approach and incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Existential Therapy. He believes that no one person is the same, and focuses on the client’s specific needs and goals for a meaningful life. Heather Holly, MA, Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

Heather focuses on working with children, couples, and families.  She has her master’s in Psychology and is working on a second degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Heather also has experience working in a variety of social service roles and would love to be your guide and advocate.  Heather also identifies as an LGBT ally and would be honored to work with you on issues related to identity, coming out, or family reactions to your identity.  Heather utilizes a variety of treatment models, including Gottman Couples therapy, Bowen Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  Heather is currently accepting clients in Schaumburg. Lori Kaniewski, Clinical Intern

Lori’s focus includes communication and relationship issues, anxiety, stress, and life changes for adolescents and adults. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness in her approach to counseling. Before beginning her journey to become a licensed professional counselor, Lori worked with children and families by offering support and care for children after school as well during school breaks. She has a great passion for helping people discover their strengths and find their motivation to improve their quality of life.
